Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and actress. She made her first recording in 1990 under the auspices of Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola, and released his first album, Mariah Carey. The album multi-platinum and produced four singles on the consecutive number U. S. Billboard Hot 100. After the success of the album, she won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1991. After her marriage to Mottola in 1993, a series of hit records its position as Columbia was the deed sales. Music Box (1993), has been certified diamond and has become one of the best-selling albums of all time and Merry Christmas (1994), became the most successful album of Christmas.
